When it comes to at-home blood draws, we work to ensure that you know exactly when and how a phlebotomist will reach out to you to complete your draw. This guide walks you through the process, from order placement to blood draw completion, so you know exactly what to expect.

Contact and Scheduling Process

Order Confirmation

  • Right after you place your order, look out for a confirmation email. This email will contain a link to schedule your in-home blood draw.
Note: This same link gives you the flexibility to reschedule or cancel your blood draw appointment in the future if needed.

Initial Communication

  • For certain coverage areas, expect to receive a message indicating that a phlebotomist will contact you to finalize your appointment, typically within 5 business days.

Appointment Confirmation

  • Once contacted, you and the phlebotomist will decide on the most convenient day and time for the blood draw.

Last-Minute Changes

  • Need to cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before your appointment? You can easily manage this through your portal, the link in your original scheduling email, or SMS. For any emergencies that require last-minute changes less than 24 hours in advance, you should contact Lifeforce support directly here.

Fasting Requirements

  • You will need to fast, as well as not consume alcohol, aspirin, or vitamin B3, for 10 hours before your appointment. Feel free to take any other daily supplements and drink plenty of water, as hydrated veins support a seamless draw. For Heavy Metals Panel, avoid seafood and red wine 72 hours prior to test. For the Brain Protection Panel, avoid biotin supplements for 72 hours prior to test. For any blood draw that includes one or more advanced panels, please hydrate well in advance of your appointment, as 8-15 tubes will be drawn.

Pre-Appointment Notification

  • On the day of your appointment, the phlebotomist will provide tracking information approximately 30 minutes before arrival.

Post-Appointment Follow-Up

Blood Test Processing

  • After your appointment, your blood test results will be processed and should be available in your member portal within 7-10 business days.

Results and Next Steps

  • Once your results are in, you'll receive an email notification directing you to your mylifeforce.com portal to view results, initial clinical recommendations and a prompt to schedule your telehealth consultation to discuss your results with a Lifeforce Clinician.

The communication process between Lifeforce and your phlebotomist is designed to keep you well-informed at every stage. From the initial scheduling to the appointment itself, our goal is to provide a hassle-free experience, allowing you to focus on what’s truly important - your health.
